Why I build these

I've worked in IT for over 20 years, in consulting, project work, directing teams and most roles in between, much of it in and alongside small businesses. The tools that would have helped us were often built and priced for large enterprises, so we found workarounds and rebuilt the features we needed ourselves.

At a small company, the person running security is often also running the help desk, the vendor contracts and the audit. The right tools let one person cover all of that and still do it well.

That's why the prices start low. I want Durendal to succeed, but not by squeezing the businesses it's meant to help.
